Delete your Viewnamic account

The account owner deletes the account in Subscription & billing: type the account name and confirm. Everything in it is deleted at once and for good; invoices are kept for as long as the law requires. A paused account is also deleted 30 days after the pause.

Updated

The account owner deletes a Viewnamic account in Subscription & billing: type the account name and click Delete account permanently. Everything in the account is deleted at once and for good, you are signed out, and a confirmation follows by email. Invoices are kept for as long as the law requires.

Before you delete

  • Download what you want to keep: in the Workspace, Download PDF in a project’s ⋯ menu, the download button next to a video, audio file, 3D model or slideshow image, and Download screens in a click dummy’s ⋯ menu. Videos and audio files download in the format Viewnamic stores them in.
  • A paid subscription must have ended first: cancel it with Cancel subscription (see Cancel or withdraw from a contract). It runs until the end of the contract; after that you can delete the account – also during the read-only period.
  • Your team members lose their access together with the account.

Delete your account

  1. Open Subscription & billing.
  2. At the bottom of the page, under Delete account, type your account name as shown there.
  3. Click Delete account permanently.

The page then shows Your account has been deleted, and you are signed out. The confirmation email is in the language of the page you deleted the account on.

Deleting cannot be undone. Links to your publications, embed codes on websites and your public page stop working at once.

What is deleted and what is kept

  • Deleted: all profiles with their publications and files, the dynamic content, the statistics, the public page with its design and collections, secure links, team invitations, and the logins of team members who belong to no other Viewnamic account – yours included.
  • Kept: invoices, credit notes and payment records, for as long as the law requires; then they are deleted as well. If you paid online, your customer record at our payment provider Stripe is kept just as long; then we delete it there. The address of your public page stays reserved, so nobody can use it for other content.

When the form is missing

  • A paid subscription is running: the section says You can delete your account once your paid subscription has ended. Cancel it above; it ends after the period you have paid for. A subscription with a payment due does not stop you – it is cancelled together with the account.
  • Viewnamic manages your plan (Managed billing or Tailored Plan): use Email Viewnamic to end the plan and delete the account.
  • Only the account owner sees Delete account; team members do not.

Deleted automatically after a plan ends

If your trial or paid plan ends and you choose no new plan, access is paused, and Viewnamic deletes the account 30 days after the pause – after a paid plan, the 14 days with read-only access come first. The account owner gets an email 14 and 3 days before. Details: What happens when your trial or paid plan ends.

Deletion by email

You can also ask us to delete your account: contact us. We delete it the same way, and the account owner gets a confirmation by email.

Questions

Can I undo the deletion?

No. Everything in the account is deleted at once and for good. Download the PDFs and media you want to keep before you delete it.

What happens to my invoices?

Invoices, credit notes and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires and deleted afterwards. If you need a copy later, contact us.

Can I create a new account later?

Yes, at any time, also with the same email address. The address of your old public page stays reserved, though, so the new account needs another one.

What happens to my team members?

They lose their access together with the account. Their logins are deleted too, unless they belong to another Viewnamic account.
