Privacy for your readers
Readers open your publications without an account. For public links, Viewnamic measures how documents are read – not who reads them.
- No cookies for reader statistics
- No IP addresses stored
- “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control are respected
- Minimal device data – no exact browser version or screen size
- Statistics are deleted automatically after 12 months
- No ads, no third-party trackers, no Google Fonts or external CDNs

You decide who can open a publication – from a public link to secure sharing with a code for each recipient.

Questions about privacy
Is Viewnamic GDPR-compliant?
Yes. Viewnamic is developed in Germany, runs on servers in German data centres and processes personal data in line with the GDPR. We provide a data processing agreement (DPA), collect only the data the service needs and delete reader statistics and activity logs automatically after 12 months.
Where are my PDFs stored?
In IONOS Object Storage in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The website, the app and the database also run on IONOS servers in Germany. Your readers’ browsers load the files directly from there through time-limited links.
Do you use Google Analytics, Google Fonts or other trackers?
No. Neither the website nor the viewer uses analytics or advertising trackers, and fonts and scripts are hosted on our own servers. Reader statistics are collected by Viewnamic itself – without cookies and without storing IP addresses.
Which other services are involved?
Brevo (EU) sends our emails, Stripe processes payments, and Cloudflare Turnstile protects our website forms against spam – it only loads when you use a form. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, they process that sign-in. The complete list is in our privacy policy.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete your publications at any time. For access to, export or deletion of personal data, simply contact us – we handle every request as the GDPR requires.
