Collections and teasers on your public page
With Premium you can group the publications of your public page into collections – for example by year or topic – and give each publication a short teaser that readers open with “Info” on its cover.
Collections group the publications of your public page, for example by year, series or topic. A teaser is a short text about one publication that readers open with Info on its cover. You set up both in the Workspace.
Collections and teasers are included in Premium and can be part of a Tailored plan – see Pricing.
Create a collection
- Open the Workspace and scroll to Public Overview Design → Collections.
- Type a name, for example “Magazine 2026”, and click Add collection.
- Open Not in a collection and choose the new collection for each publication that belongs in it.
- Optional: click the pencil next to the collection, add a Teaser for it (up to 500 characters) and click Save.
The list contains only publications that are on your public page – see The public page. Publications with a future date are marked Scheduled (Schedule a publication).
Other ways to sort publications
- In the Access & secure sharing dialog of a publication with Public page, choose a Collection and click Save access.
- For many projects at once, click Select next to the project filters, select the projects and use Collection in the bar at the bottom.
Manage collections
- The arrows change the order; readers see your collections in this order.
- A publication belongs to one collection at most and always stays under all publications as well.
- When you rename a collection, links to its old address lead to the new one.
- A profile can have up to 50 collections, each name up to 60 characters.
Deleting a collection cannot be undone. Its publications stay on your public page.
Add a teaser to a publication
- Open the project menu (⋯) on its tile and choose Access & secure sharing.
- With Public page selected, write a few words under Teaser – up to 500 characters of plain text.
- Click Save access.
What readers see
- As soon as a collection holds a publication, the header shows a switch: Publications and Collections, each with its number.
- Collections shows one card per collection: a small stack of its newest covers, its name, the number of publications and its teaser.
- Each collection has its own page with its teaser above its publications; the header shows its name after Collections.
- A publication with a teaser has an Info button on the lower edge of its cover. Info turns the cover over, and the back shows the title and the teaser. Another click, Esc or a click elsewhere turns it back; a click on the back opens the publication.
Collections without a publication on the page stay hidden from readers.
If your plan changes
Without the feature, readers no longer see collections and teasers, but nothing is deleted – they come back when your plan includes them again. A publication that leaves the public page keeps its teaser and collection too.
Questions
Do collections help my publications in search engines?
Each collection has its own page with its own address, and Viewnamic lists it in the sitemap for search engines. If the collection has a teaser, it becomes the description of that page for search engines.
