Our sample travel guide for Cala Millor on Mallorca shows how a PDF guide becomes a companion on the way. Its cover shows a beach on Mallorca and a map that marks Cala Millor.
Inside, the guide links the description of each place to a clickable map. Numbered markers along the route open the details of every stop – without leaving the document. Travellers tap a marker on the map instead of searching the index.
The map is a click dummy: screens with clickable hotspots, built in Viewnamic’s own visual editor and placed on the page like any other media. The PDF itself stays unchanged, so the same file can still be printed.
The guide opens in the browser via one link – on the way, on a phone, without an app. It can be shared by email, chat or social media and, depending on the plan, embedded on a website.
The same pattern works for city guides and for software guides, whose steps can be clicked through the same way.
