Magazine · Das Heft
“Das Heft” is a culture and city magazine. It publishes its issues online in the Viewnamic viewer – as a regular PDF, without any interactive content.
Readers get the familiar page-turn experience of a printed magazine. Magazine mode shows double-page spreads with a realistic page-flip effect, and fonts, images and layout look exactly as in the PDF. Readers can switch to scroll mode at any time, which is often more comfortable on a phone.
The viewer is clean and carries the magazine’s own design: no ads, no pop-ups and no third-party trackers – nothing distracts from the editorial design. Every publication can also be read as a text version in reading mode on the same URL.
Each issue gets its own readable link that can be shared by email, chat or social media. Depending on the plan, issues can also be embedded on a website and listed on a public page, and statistics show how often each issue is opened and how long every page is read.
The example shows that Viewnamic is not only for interactive documents: many publishers simply host and publish their regular PDFs.
